what can anyone tell me about Cheney rifle ,36 cal, caplock. picked it up at a local gun shop ,they did'it know anything about it .

I don't have a photo of it yet. when i get one ,I'll post it,but in the meantime,just would like basic info.It is plain,fullstock maple?,single trigger,no buttplate,36cal.caplock, no other markings,The shop has another Cheney in 50 cal. WE are going out to the back 40 today to shoot out of barn.raining like hell here in the Swamp! Happy New Year! By the way,where is Shady Cove?
 
Shady Cove is on Hiway 62, 20 miles north of Medford. The Rogue River runs thru town. Between Crater Lake and Medford !
 
shady cove sounds like a nice place. I haven't spent much time in southern Oregon except on forest fires. Do you go to winter Bend?
