hi all, would a Kibler fowler in cherry be realistic as an American restock in the north eastern U.S.A.??

George Washington had Jim Kibler mill his cherry stocked fowler from the cherry tree George cut down so why not. Of course, I am known to tell a few "tall" tales. But I got one in maple which wasn't common either but I like it.

Just ordered one in cherry in 45 cal. anxious for it's arrival. I will be questioning Jim and maybe others about recommended finishing techniques in the near future. I have used tannic acid and iron nitrate on maple followed by multiple coats of tung oil rubbed in with good luck.

What was I thinking I just ordered a Kibler woodsrunner in cherry not a fowler my mistake.
