I don't know if this the right place to post this, but I have an ornamental chokecherry tree that is dieing in my yard. It has a number of sap deposits,on the bark, that are drying hard and clear. Is this something that has a use in the traditional way?
Unfortunately, the tree isn't even big enough to yield a gunstock.
