Have any of you personally collected any data on different calibers and charges using a chronograph. I don't own one but would like to see some info on this.
What really got me thinking was a rifle I shoot fires a .429 ball ahead of 60gr. FFF. Wondering if it has the velocity required to humanely take a whitetail deer. Besides proper shot placement what would be needed to be lethal?
Would also like to see data for smaller calibers and up to a .530 ball ahead of 80gr. FF.
If any of you have put the time into actually collecting this data id love to hear about it.
Regards,
James
