Hello to everyone. I'm new to muzzleloading and am anxious to learn all I can about it. For Christmas, my wonderful wife gave me a replica Type III 1862 C.S. Richmond .58 cal Rifled Musket made by the James River Armory. I live in Richmond and grew up on and around Civil War battlefields so I feel a special kinship to this rifle. Any help will be appreciated.

Greetings Tim,

I can't believe it, another guy with a wife that knows how to shop. Found one on the flintlock forum today. You guys are sure lucky. Think she might clean it for you after a shoot?

Good to have you around camp.

Wow welcome and what a great gift! Please let us know how it shoots! I am looking at those myself.

Ever think of joining the NSSA? I joined last year but for one reason or another never made it to a match. Plan on changing that big time this year!

Welcome to the fire and lets see some pics of that new rifle and your a lucky man to have such a great wife!
