Leaving on a 3 day hunt Friday and I’ve got an issue. My SMR set trigger is not functioning properly. It has in the past but has been super finicky. When loading the set trigger I’ve only been able to make it scary light. However it has become nearly impossible to set recently. If I pull just the front trigger with a heaaavvvy pull it will go off. Pulling the rear trigger with only make a click and not set the front trigger no matter how far in or out the set screw is turned. Anything I can do to fix the trigger and salvage this hunt?

i thought i was the only one who waited till the last minute  , maybe kibler could overnight one to you.call them they will do everything they can for you.
Yeah they will get a call first thing in the am, but I was wondering if I can fix the issue. I’ve been watching videos on set trigger function but I’m failing to see what my issue is. I’m guessing should pull it out to see what’s up but was hoping to a wood that.

Take the triggers out and try them to see if there is an obvious problem. If not, either go with the terrible front trigger pull or use or borrow another rifle. It would suck having to cancel a hunt.
I can see the problem. With the adjustment screw turned all the way OUT the rear trigger bar (forgive me if I’m naming these incorrectly) is barely catching the front trigger bar. The trigger is very light. Just not much material is making contact. Turning the adjustment screw in only makes it worse. Can I shoot this trigger with the adjustment screw completely removed? Any way to make better (or more)contact?

Make sure the front trigger is going all the way forward by pressing it forward as you pull the rear trigger. It may not be engaging the rear trigger fully. If so determine what is stopping it.
