Was simply Awesome............ to say the least. Saw some wonderful displays, great guns, knives, hawks, now/old lots of really neat stuff. Bought some great wood & few things for myself. Just had a great time & got to see some old & new faces also put some names with them.

I really look forward to next year........ If you have never been to it, you owe it to yourself to go as it is a fine show.

I agree completely! I've never seen so many "high quality" rifles in the same place. Nor have I seen so many originals in one place. I doubt that there is every such a collection of top name rifle builders under one roof. It's a humbling experience.

One encouraging thing is the young makers I see at events like this. I am amazed at the young talent I saw this week.

I'm glad to have a chance to talk with you and all the friends that show up every year. It's fun to catch up with folks and see what everybody's working on.

If there was a down side, it was that one old friend and superb gunmaker wasn't able to attend because of health.

Didn't mean to end on sad note. The CLA show is a remarkable experience!

Regards,
Pletch

This isn't a uniform covering of the show. I would get side tracked by a friend, get to talking, and forget to use my camera.

Truly impressive! Thank you for sharing.

Jim's pistol and Price's inlays are my favorite pictures.

Great photos!!! I was there and didn't see half of the stuff that you put on here. I had a table in the overflow room and really didn't get around as much as I'd hoped to. This was my first year there and I really enjoyed it.

Thank You for posting those pics, Now I know I have to go to the show next time. :shake: :surrender:

This was my first show and it was AWESOME! I bought a beautiful pistol from Jerry Scales, the engraving is beautiful. I dropped off my Hershal neck knife to Lally House for a neck sheath. I saw so many great gun deals. The winner of the House brother's rifle was at the show and we both have the same first name.....wow... my heart skipped a beat. Mark Wheland had my new Tennessee Henry Gross rifle there on display and it really drew alot of attention. The people who are famous for their art were soo friendly and I made some new friends. My wife loved it too! We will be there next year, God willing

Great photo's. The summer of 2010 is now planned. Dixon's in July and the CLA Show in August. One question, are the actual firearms, bags, knives, etc. that are at the show for sale or just samples of items that can be ordered from the individual makers.

Well, yes and no. Many are for sale and there are many that are not. But also the wealth of original guns to view is worth something as well.

My first trip as well. I only had the opportunity to spend a few hours there on Friday and it just wasn't enough. I'll be there for all 3 days next year. Simply amazing that so much talent was under one roof.
