Has anyone built a gun from a Clark Industries kit? If so, could you give me a little feedback. I am looking at building my first rifle from a (set of parts) kit, and live in Canada, so I was thinking of pursuing one from Clark but I know nothing about them or their product.

Thanks for your input,

Brian

Clark Industries?I was told by a friend that he used to buy flints from Clark Industries,Tottenham,Ontario.I did a web search but found nothing.Do you know a Web address for them?

I have bought locks from John Clark since the early 1980's. I think his locks are first rate., It was the Lock that L & R copied for the Durrs Egg. John is honest , prices are a little high but the lock anyway is worth it . He can also supply them with Brass or German silver plates , I await a tuned brass model as we speak . He is an Honest good craftsman.

Thanks for the info. I think I am going to order his catalog. I have a feeling that even if his prices are a little higher than some of the other vendors in the States, it may work out to be cheaper for me as I live in Canada. How much more does it cost for the silver lockplates, and how long of a wait?????

Thanks again.

If anyone else has any feedback from them, I would appreciate it.

He is a bit behind on tuned locks, that he builds etc. If you want a kit, he has them on hand most of the time . I cant quote a time period, only he can do that as it varies . I ordered a Brass plate tuned lock at the CLA show in August and was told to expect it arround January

I've seen his work and it is top shelf stuff.
He uses first rate hardware and wood in his kits.
I plan on building a kit of his soon.I've also been to his shop and spoke with him a number of times he is very direct and sincere.
