I just received this wool Double Rover Jacket from Classic Sportsman in New Jersey. Mine is in the Cottonwood Plaid pattern which is a great mix of grays and brown. It should blend in nicely sitting at the base of a tree, sitting in a tree stand, or tracking. Well made, not overly heavy or thick. Button front which adds to the traditional feel. Two chest pockets with slash pockets in the front. Best part it is Made in the USA, not Far-Eastern junk that doesn't hold up or shrinks. Not cheap, but nothing of real quality is. I added a B&W image to simulate how it may look to Deer or other game.

Nice stuff, thanks for the link.
But, DANG,,,,,,, "not cheap" is and understatement. But it does seem on part with similar good quality wool products. What kills me is that a shirt costs as much as a jacket. Might as well just get the jacket and keep using old surplus wool sweaters under it.

We are seeing a small resurgence of wool. There are at least three new vendors offering U.S. made wool tracker jackets, pants, and small packs. These are mainly geared towards hunters on the track with modern features such as zippers and pockets for cell phones, hand-held GPS, etc.

I prefer earth-tone colors and plaids over traditional green and black or red and black plaid check patterns. Those are time-tested, but the earth-tones lend more to the traditional muzzleloading hunter. This company along with Asbel Wool offers a good selection of those.
