Lead is still one of the most abundant and heavily recycled metals...It is literally everywhere, and will remain so as our society transitions to all electric forms of power and transportation..
The superior conductivity and low cost of lead means that it will never disappear.
Production of lead has just been moved to china and India where the electrical components are made and environmental regulations are non existent.
If you're reading this then there is most likely have lead sitting right in front of you...

Wanna be my business partner? I already thought of the straw and guessed sawdust would work.

Sawdust won't work...the long straws give the adobe balls a lot of strength. Of course experimentation must be done to determine how much straw. If you'll invest YOUR money in "Adobe Ammo", I might just become your silent partner.....Fred

I remember a scene in the movie The Alamo (the original one) where they loaded up a Spanish cannon with mud and set 'er off...Big Boom!

Adobe is sun dried for good reason....the peons were too poor to buy a kiln. Besides....using the sun is eco-friendly?

Marbles might be too light...tried them in a sling shot and they didn't have enough wallop. So then used lead balls which worked great. Both marbles and lead balls were much more accurate than the misshaped stones we started off w/ and besides, we didn't have to hunt around RR tracks for a source of stones.

If somebody is really interested in clay balls, set up a lab and experiment w/ different clays and amounts of straw.....a very worthwhile and rewarding project......Fred
