Anyone ever use beer to clean your muzzleloader?

Sure strips the moisture out of me...

I have heard that beer could actually sit long enough to get warm, this is the brew to try, not the ice cold beverages in the cooler...

i would think that would get awfuly sticky in there...and do you really want wasps trying to nest in your barrel the way they always want to nest in my barely pop cans? And i would think that it would result in sticky, funky barrel.

The reason I asked (I never did this) was that we (Forum Members) tried just about everything, I can see a bunch of guys whooping it up after a day of hunting and one of them thinks, hey, this might work?

Heck, Musky, how about Dr. Pepper or Vernors? :results:

Regards, sse

If you used enough....would you get beer battered venison? I'm such a smart a$$ sorry.

Griz-If you send me enough beer to cover my next hunting trip I'll try it and let you know.
