I am talking with someone about potentially buying a TC Renegade. He said the barrel was "coined" i asked what that meant and I'm still not sure I understand. He said it's not QLA so an older model but that coined is similar to QLA?? It's a recessed crown? Can someone explain better?

Thanks

I'm thinking "coned" not coined. QLA was coned and then tapered inside the barrel.
Actually, the QLA was counter bored not coned. The purpose was to provide a cylindrical start for a Maxi-Ball. If the counter bore was properly centered on the bore it didn't adversely affect accuracy.
