Good shootin! I hear you on 20 degrees feeling warm, the jacket comes off cause you are sweating if you are cutting wood!Been cold up here too.Like others mentioned look for primitive biathlons in your area, they are a hoot!

I think the coldest I ever shot was -18 in Alaska. I would keep my gloves on until I need to remove them while loading. Sometimes you just have to get out and do things just to be getting out.

Even better, adjust your loading methods so the gloves don't have to come off. Field days last lots longer when I don't have to handle cold metal with bare hands, however briefly.
