What to use when the weather drops and snow is all around?
Early season is easy, any of the comercial lubes are just fine in the field, but now that winter is here lubes for Mini/ Maxi's is a problem. They turn as hard as a rock, and are inpossible to get out of the tube. Pre lubing a Mini or maxi and using one of those speed loader holders seemed like a good idea as long as you kept it in a shirt pocket that was warm or it becomes glued in there. The possible bag or coat pockets just do not have any heat.
Is there something that stays soft that can be used for lubing in the field when the temp drops well below freezing?

HI. Up hear TC's bore butter works fine for MAXI'S.I have a few plastic box's you can buy them in.But even in the cold don't hold them in your hand to long or the BB start's to get soft.
good luck WALT.
