I sitting here relaxing in Vt. The temp is -5, never rising above 0 all day. The only thing on my mind tonight is keeping my water from freezing!

You folks are just getting the cold wave that passed thru here last week.

It was almost too cold to go outside with the low temperature in my back yard at 26*F at night! :shocked2:

It didn't hardly warm up either. During the late afternoon it was still down in the mid 40's. :shake:

Froze off my 3 Bougainvillaeas and my pink Hibiscus and damaged a lot of the leaves on my naval orange trees! :cursing:

I'm tougher than I look so I survived it though and the temp. is back up in the upper 60's and low 70's where it belongs. :)

Geeze do I feel bad for you. :shocked2: As I sit here reading your post, the thermometer on the window says minus 26. There are no Hibiscus, even in the summer.

Our high here in New York (catskills) is 18deg. today. I would love it to be 40 now!

It was 72 degrees here today! :blah: going huntin' this Sat. and Sun. I go into hibernation whenever it drops below 30 degrees for a couple of days.

I grew up in Wisconsin. My first Christmas in Vietnam cured me of ever wanting to live where I had to move the weather with a shovel.

Middle Georgia occassionaly receives a dusting of snow and the locals freak out buying up everything in the stores. I've gotten acclimated and now freeze if it's not at least 55 degrees!

I have lived from the frozen wastes of the Yukon and Alaska to the heat of the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico. I have been everywhere between the state of Maine to the coasts of California.

Stevens County Washington is my favorite place to date. I think I could possibly be draged off this land... with a team of horses.
