Not knocking you but 30 grs. to me is a wimpy load. :grin:
30 grains just about leaves room in the cylinder for a ball in that tiny revolver! Keep in mind that I also use a pre-lubed wonder-wad between the powder and the ball.

Well, I do use Pyrodex not real bp and Pyro compresses more. I can load 40 grs. of Pyro in my 1860 with a wonder wad and the ball is right below the edge of the chamber mouth. :surrender:

Never used Pyro--or any sub for that matter. Didn't realize it compresses that much as compared to regular 3Fg Goex :hmm: .

I imagine that I could squeeze in more 3Fg into the 1860 Army if I used the lever to tamp-down the powder and wad BEFORE I seat the ball. Can do this with the Walker to get 55+ grains into the chambers, but the accuracy sufffers some. The 50 grain charge gives plenty of BOOM!
