Since joining last month, have been reading lots of old posts on the percussion revolvers. Lots of folks point out the short arbors on
thr Uberti made pistol, and how to correct it.

I just purchased a Signature series from a member, and am on the hunt for a 2nd gen 1860. I was wondering, since both 2nd and 3rd Colt
revolvers used Uberti made parts, do they suffer the same shortcoming, or was Colt oversight, at least on the 2nd generation pistols enough to overcome this fault?

Yes, the arbors will be short. It's an equal opportunity for all reproductions from all makes. Even pre 2011ish or so Piettas ( since they're the only manufacturer to actually "fix" the arbor length since then).
