Colt s Patent Repeaters

Walker pistol. Fired the heavy elongated (260g cast from a early 60 Army/Dragoon mold) charged with 41g powder from 70yds. Went through 6.2 boards (heavily dented the 7th but didn t stick in the board). At 70 yds, have to aim 40 in low. Zero aim/hit point is 170yds

1- The fired and unfired are the two near the muzzle. Mild distortion, the fired one. I can size the balls down/up for a perfect fit (reducing or increasing the base diameter). Q u i t e a perfomance difference over a round ball.

2- WH Dragoon. same tyoe ball, 37g powder charge, 70 yds. 5.8 boards (protruding from the back of the 6th board. More distortion. May have hit a knot. At 70 yds, have to aim 35 in low. Zero aim/hit point is 130 yds.

3- Walker ball after hitting the small iron target from 50yds
