LOL !!!! That's how I received it. Just cut the cord off and store it in a pouch. It's really not as practical as it first appears. But the general idea intrigued me. You would not want to "slap" your hand down on top of it while loading. LOL But if you grab around the circumference of the horn, with your thumb on top, it does work. Would be ok for hunting. But wouldn't want to use it all day at the range.

try using a small wooden mallet.
