The first clip I shot a woodcock with my Pedersoli. After that they all got a free pass as I was just enjoying good dog work.

Here in my part of the UK although there are resident wood cock plus migrating birds which mostly came in November from the continent on a full moon we referred to this has a fall of woodcock . Most of my past days after woodcock was with a brace of cockers to shoot a single bird was accomplish shot but to take a left and right earned you a member of the Bols club which presented you with a bottle of their whiskey. Today there are not the same numbers of woodcock about and several estates do not shoot them .
