Thanks Gee Dog. I have a Brownells set and just ordered the tips that I didn't have for my 1860.

Hi 6 Shot ”“ In this vid Duelist1954/Mike Beliveau makes reference to some Brownell Magna Tip sizes he uses for Pietta Colt disassembly. You may be up on this already.

Lubriplate 630 AA white lithium non petroleum grease. Comes in a handy tube or a 14 oz. can. I don’t use petro products on C&B.

I think the old timers used sperm whale oil.

This is good stuff to avoid bind-up on arbor/cylinder pin and for the internal parts.

'afternoon,

MANY huge thanks to Billnpatti for posting the links to those two videos.

Took my CnB pistols to the range. Loaded them all, capped them all, and as I was rotating the one cylinder making sure they were seated, it locked. Tried what I could at the range, but it was going to have to come farther apart than I was comfortable with there. I've never had one further apart than to replace the trigger spring. Had to take it all the way apart before it would give up the two caps that were jamming things.

So many thanks!
Calum
