Conner Prairie History Museum in Fishers, Indiana (near Indianaopolis) is hosting its 17th Annual Arms Making Workshop this coming October. There's seven days of classes starting with: Bow Making, Beginning Weaving, Hearth Cooking, Leather Work (Portmanteau), Lock Assembly (Jim Chambers), Silver Wire Inlay (Bob Harn), Pipe Tomahawk (Melvin Lytton & Nathan Allen). These are all on Oct 7-8. These are followed by either a week long (Oct 9-13) or 2 1/2 day long clases. The week long classes are: Trade Silver (Don Secondine), Knife Axe, Engraving (John Shippers), Kit Assembly, Stock Carving (Jim Klein), Making Small parts (Bob Harn). The 2 1/2 day long classes that run concurrently with them are: Horn Making (Lee Larkin), Pottery and then Quill Work (Robin Scott) and Bag Making (Ken Scott - unrelated to Robin but a famous bag maker).
