I've seen that on ebay before. Been few years. I thought about trying it just see how or if it worked and how well. I have a tc firestorm flintlock.

When a flintlock is fired a jet of gas escapes through the touch hole. Using this device it appears that gas would be vented straight up, I'm assuming there is still the need for priming powder which would be ignited by the cap. If it does vent gas straight up it would be right in front of the shooters face. If so, that doesn't sound too good.

On my device, I didn't need an prime, the cap was sufficient, nor was there any excessive vent blast not unlike any standard caplock.

Well, I regularly shoot my caplock, and my flinter seldom. Guess I'll swim against the current and say I find this to be an extremely interesting item. It appears well made and for $60 seems like a good deal. Do I want one, will I buy one?, no, but let's applaud the inventor for his invention.
