Brits.

Brits..Very Nice!
Always enjoy your pic's
Looked like a good day
Gotta love your spotted hunting partner.

Did you notice a difference in results with homemade shot?
Really like the idea of pouring your own.

How long did it take to get comfortable with the sights on your double?
I'm a single or double bead shooter.
Do you even notice them while shooting?
Any aid in fine tuning your poi(elevation)?
Thanks...dan

Dan, the leaf sight stays down when wing shooting, no time to line anything up when bird shooting. Thats why a shotgun has to fit. The eye is the rear sight.

The leaf sight is used for the left tube when it has a ball in it. Pretty good to 40yds.

The rough shot was not to good, it seemed to start killing when 1 1/2oz was tipped in!

The seven birds could of been doubled with a modern gun but no way would it of been so much fun, a classic case of less is more :hatsoff:

Was the homemade shot made at your home?

No  I did indeed make it at work a couple of years ago!

Maybe home should read hand!

Well spotted Spence :hatsoff:

Those birds in your second picture don't look too tasty! A bit 'fibrous'

Nice to know home made shot can work, I've been thinking about trying to make some but didn't know how to get it round without a tall drop tower, looks like it doesn't have to be round to work.

very nice gun, by the way!

Some folk seem to make it good by dropping it in anti freeze!!

If you do end up with all shapes just expect to have to get closer or pour more down the barrel :hatsoff:

It was a good exercise at the time, it's good to have a little experience to fall back on should the need arise!
