Cook Forest Annual French & Indian War Encampment

June 9 & 10, 2007

With Cook Forest Online as a leading sponsor, the Park will once again host this series of living history events depicting life during the French & Indian War.

Highlights of this two-day encampment include children’s programs, woodland natives, cannon and musket firing demonstrations, sutler camp, council and trading events, live tactical engagements, nationally renowned living historians, and French & Indian War era painters.

Take a walk back in time along the Black Bear Trail by the Sawmill Center for the Arts during
open camp hours, to view over 100 British, Colonial, French, and Native American re-enactors as they portray lifestyles
of the 18th century.
