Agreed, with today's gas prices - it most likely would be a trade off to purchase a new one.
Thanks to those that offered help

Has anyone tried putting a tiny glo stick down? Would it be bright enough? It should fit into a .32.

For the smaller cal's you can go to a fishing tackle shop, and gert a bobber light for night fishing, that's less than a 1/4" in diameter, awill fit everything bigger than a .22 cal.

i take my mag-lite after rolling a ball down the bore to look at it, shows up nice and bright....or i shine a doctors pen light in the touch hole with the liner out and it shines the bore also, real bright after it has been cleaned :v ..................bob

Yes Bob, I knew that. However, what does that tell the young neighbor kid that happens to be watching from the other room?. He may not know what's going on and just see's, then draws the conclusion that, it's OK to put a rifle muzzle to your eye. Kids can be very impressionable and you may not even know your being watched. It could also create a bad habit where, while distracted, you may inadvertantly flip the gun around to look down the barrel to investigate a missfire. I don't for a minute believe that you would slip the light down a bore that is not without question, empty but kids watch and habits form. Just something to think about :hatsoff:
