I was wanting to see if anyone had a idea on how to wrap cooper wire around a knives handle. This is going to be for the looks and not any function.
 
I work with copper wire all the time.

I would just start wrapping in on there and solder it at each end. You might want to hammer it here and there to get the form just right.

Don't forget, copper hardens as you beat on it. If it's too hard, heat it up and quench it in water to soften.

Alright, I'm trying to do this myself.

What is the "nail knot approach"?
 
You can make a couples of wraps with the wire around the nail part of a brass tack then tap the tack in tight. Clip off any excess wire.

Say this one on Crazy Crow. Brass wrapped on both ends. Kind of neat. Copper would also look good, I think.
