SOLD Corsair .44 Cal Double Barrel Pistol

Here’s an interesting one. A Corsair double barrel percussion pistol in .44 caliber. I haven’t fired it, but I did disassemble it, give it a cleaning and put some anti-seize grease around the nipples. I’d call it fair condition. Primary detractors being some surface rust on the outside near the nipples in particular and some light pitting inside, most noticeably towards the muzzle. Bluing is somewhat uneven towards the breech and there are a few other other marks here and there as you’d expect. Both actions work fine, and the nipples appear new. Rifling remains prominent.

Interestingly, there is a screw hole under the barrel and I have no idea why. There’s no corresponding threads on the barrel there. The barrel is held securely by a pin and screw in the tang. The ramrod is also held with good tension. The adjustable rear sight is interesting as well.

Overall not a minty collectors piece, but should be something fun to play with. I’d like $215 shipped where legal in the CONUS. Paypal F&F preferred, but money order is ok too. The powder horn is, quite literally a prop, and isn’t included. Feel free to ask any question you have and I’ll answer them if I can.

My guess is it's for the sling stud thats missing the butt of the grip has a stud.
