Was cold n nasty today so didn’t want to get on open cab dozer roller chopping bushes so did a little pig patrol. Was on 8000ac block with lots of reds so started easing around in the truck sucking up the heat! Then seen group of hogs about 150 yds up the rd, had the wind covering my scent n noise n curve in the rd n eased up on them, got within 20 yds of one n I lit him up, got the drop n squeal n we was done. Loaded that one up n reloaded(got powder, wads n caps n glovebox) eased on down the rd n saw some more out in the timber rootin it up so got out of the truck n was easing up on them n one popped up in front of me out of the grass, was 15 yds quartering to me went in beside shoulder and out through the gut n dropped with a squeal. Loaded that one up n reloaded n headed out again, saw another group but couldn’t get up on them n then phone rang n had go meet our company president so that killed pig patrol for the day. But I will be there for next several weeks n I’m sure I will take a few more out.
