Here are a few pics of two powder chargers that I recently finished.
The first is a sleek little measure made from a whitetail antler tine. After a blotched attempt at coloring the piece with rit dye, I overcoated it with several applications of Lincoln brown leather dye. It throws 35 grains.
The second was made from an elk antler tine. I added a little bit of scratch work to it and dyed it with rit. It throws 65 grains.
All of the exterior shaping was done with flat, round, and triangle files and then worked over with multiple grits of sand paper to remove all tool marks. Final finish completed with 0000 steel wool.
Thanks for taking a peek at this post.
