Just thought i'd post a few pics of the deer creek .45 i finished. Ive shot close to 70 PRB's and today i shot 6 225 grain powerbelts. My load so far for PRB is 50 grains @ 100 yards.
60 grains with the powerbelts and so far ive only worked out to 50 yards. Using pyrodex rs and cci #11 caps. First pic is my first outing with the powerbelts at 20 yards.
Next is my 50 yard target. The shot touching the black was due to a hang fire :cursing:
So far im happy with the way the powerbelts have been grouping. All the shooting was done off my fence line. I was running out of light and starting the drizzle so there was no time to set up my "rest" and that being my 4 wheeler seat and bag of pinto beans " no laughing, it works well"
Also have some 255 grain maxi hunters heading my way and will give those a try before i decide which bullet i will use. And yes i know i have a thimble missing. I have to buy a new screw so she'll stay on. Factory screw was a shade to short. Im thinking it will hold right at 2" groups @ 100 with the powerbelts, All depends on how much more powder i will need to add to get the right elevation.
