Made this from a leather glove with a hole in the finger. Thumb fit over the hammer/ frizzen really well. So I cut the thumb down, sewed it tight with my speedy stitcher, then saturated the whole thing with sno seal. I used an old boot lace for the strap. it's not pretty but it'll do, especially because I've never had one for the 20 years I've had the rifle. Hope this gives someone a helpful idea. SW

Give that leather a good greasing to keep it dry in the wet.
