Next weekend at the AZ State Fair Grounds, Friday Noon to Sunday, is the biggest & best Gun Show. Cross Roads of the West-SAR SHOW.

Normally in the past there have been a bunch of Muzzleloaders Mixed in with all the other stuff. Plus a lot of accessories for BP Shooting.

WILL BE NO BLACK POWDER FOR SALE so don't asks as it is in the Phoenix, AZ-City Limits. Phoenix City Council BANNED SALE of Real BP years ago.

All you question about hour etc., you can go to the Cross Roads of the West Gun Show web-site, and parking is about 7 bucks, or free in the neighborhood near the show if you do not mind walking.

I went Saturday and Sunday. There was a lot of Muzzleloaders for sale. One of the private party seller had over 50 Round-ball Molds @ $5.00 each in the box. Saw some nice Powder Horns, and there was many many percussion revolver for sale. Like knives, well it was the place to buy a few.

Sadly per the norm that Indiana Gun Club was not there promoting their big "Western Shoot".

Nope, the shoot is in March and Arizona Clubs do not support it, why does the city of Phoenix not support the shoot?

Why should the NMLRA fly support folks out there in December to promote the shoot, if local Arizona clubs do not come out, promote the shoot and participate?

There are more shooters from California at the shoot than from Arizona.

From shopping on Traders Row, there are more shoppers from out of state and out of state vendors selling products than Arizona, very few with Arizona tags in the parking lot buying.

As Claude said in your last post, why continue to whine?

Want to see the Western National Shoot grow and M/L shooting grow in Arizona, get the Arizona Clubs to sponsor a Levi Garrett during the Western Nationals.

Get involved and participate, you have local folks who would help you.

You know what Richard this show is the Second Largest Gun Show in the USA. The show ran 2.5 days and was well attended. People from all over the Western US came, and I saw a few East of the Mississippi License Plates in the shows parking lot.

I talked with a few people new to Phoenix who said we never had nothing like this where I came from. That being out of Arizona, as Arizona is what we call a Second Amendment friendly state.

The display were great, as a lot of military memorabilia, collectors came out to display their collections. Including a group from Hawaii who had a booth with World World II Military Memorabilia.

I am sure even you would have enjoy looking at the custom knives, and some of the pre 1900 Military Firearms and Military Memorabilia that was on display.

As to why people and municipalities don't support individual events here in the Valley of the Sun, if you are really interested you should contact those non supporters on you own dime, do you own research.

I think I know, but you don't want to hear the answer again, so go ask your own question, and find your own answers.

BTW that same weekend we here in Arizona Dedicated a NEW World War Two Memorial, and had a fly over of a B-17, and few P-51's World War II aircraft. We could see it from the Gun Show, and people stopped to look to the skies, as it was cool to see the old War Birds that were old than most of the onlookers flying.

Actually the thing that has sparked an interest in Shooting Muzzleloaders in Arizona is the separate Muzzleloading Hunting Season, where it is some what easier to get drawn for Deer, Elk, and other Tag if you are willing to hunt with ANY MUZZLELOADING Firearm including an Inlines, or Pistol that loads from the front. This has been going on for over 13++ years, or longer.

s you may or may not recall many moons ago Sturm Ruger & Company was a Major Sponsor of the NMLRA, and their Winter/Western Shoot.

They even use to buy a full page ad in the Muzzle Blast, don''t know the full story why Ruger abandoned the NMLRA in both advertising, in the magazine, and sponsor the Winter/Western Shoot.

But I think it had something to do with the companies negative image to some NMLRA Members, as Sturm Ruger & Company only built products that sold & made them money. Like Inlines Muzzleloaders, Ruger Old Army Black Powder Cap & Ball Revolver that were not period correct, and last modern firearms.

Think Ruger moved those advertising dollars, and sponsorship the NMLRA use to get, to their new target audience Single Action Shooting Society Member & Cowboy Action Shooters who buy a lot of Sturm Ruger & Company products annually.

**Now as far a Levi Garrett I will assume you are talking Chewing Tobacco company, they are putting big bucks into NASCAR, and NHRA Drag Racing Motor Sports where their target audience of buyers are.

Not sure what their return would be on sponsor a shooting event, and the Bean Counter at most Corporation are interested in only two thing. When investing money in sponsorships.

1. Cost of Sponsorship in Dollars & Cents.

2. Return on every dollar invested to the Sponsoring Corporation, this is to them all about making money, not be a nice guy, giving money away with no return.

So the question is what is in it for Levi Garret to sponsor any shooting event? Do Shooter use chewing tobacco in large number??
