Crushing FFFG To FFFFG

It did not really say what size powder would result from doing such a thing, only that it would be crushed powder that could be put in a nipple primer the company sells there.

I have one of those brass nipple primer thingys and it works with 4Fg just fine.

Those thingys are also good for getting powder in the nipple hole after a dryball, lot easier than trying to pour in or dribble in. I gotta find mine, gettin older and dryballing is no fun

Glad I read this thread. I have one of those brass nipple thingys, that came with a bunch of other stuff and couldn't figure out what it was. Now I know and it shows that old dogs can learn new tricks. :grin:

I am just asking a question here, this is not something I have ever done, but could you use Pyodex P in your pan in an emergency?

It will ignite if you use a butane lighter and are real real steady....otherwise you wont hit a game animal and/or a LARGE paper target very often!

I think I used ours once on my wife's rifle.

No. Cuz I mostly shoot flint.

when ya dryball with flint (I have a flinter but yet to do that with it yet) is it easy enough to shoot out with powder thru touch hole?

Most of the time. I had my touch hole burn out (prematurely) recently and could not get enough pressure to shoot. We had to pull the ball.
