Looking for a CS Richmond reproduction.
Will also consider a 1861 springfield or 1853 enfield.
Not opposed to original if y’all have one. Let me know

Hi Ridgerunner,

I have a custom build Richmond rifle musket sitting at Lodgewood Manufacturing at the moment needing some final touches. Dave didn't give me the line prices, but this is everything he'd do to finalize the piece.

"Hey Jason and Mark,
I'm going to be starting the work on your Richmond in the next couple weeks. As far as issues that should be addressed, this is what I would recommend:
Anneal, repolish and restamp lock plate. Re caseharden lock plate and hammer.
Stamp barrel with correct date and proof marks
replace rear sight with correct richmond sight
replace ram rod with correct straight-shank rod.
Other than that, I noticed that the rear sight dovetail was mounted at a slight angle - there's not much that can be done about this, but I wanted to bring it to your attention.
I wouldn't recommend cartouching this gun as it has a patch box and a steel butt plate; which copies the guns assembled from parts captured from Harper's Ferry and pre-date Salmon Adams tenure as head inspector at Richmond.
The cost to do all of the above would run about $462 for parts and labor. Let me know if this sounds good and I'll get started."

The work can be done or totally skipped. Entirely up to you. I'm looking to get $1300 shipped for the rifle.

Thanks I’ll for sure keep this one in mind

I have a two band James River Armory Richmond.

These were a limited run with Hoyt barrels designed for competitors. It has five grove rifling and is ridiculously accurate. I got from a guy getting out of the sport.

Not really looking to sell, but I have an original 1856 Enfield Navy that will get the nod when I get the urge to shoot Yankees (err, um, targets.)
