Hello all! I live in central CT and was wondering if you guys are still active with this/if there are any shoots in the next few months. Thanks!
Hi there, M1066, I am not aware of any here in CT coming up but I have gone to a couple this year that have been posted up on this thread, so keep an eye out. I would like to get in on another woodswalk shoot this fall myself

I just don’t feel like going up to the club alone, and I’m secretly hoping to find a flintlock Fowler for the next range trip.

Well,,,, I can't exactly say the same.
I love my modern pistol shooting,,, but even with that, unless I'm at a match or running a training session,,, I'd rather practice alone so I can focus and not worry about what some dope is doing.
And even more so when I want to go shoot my flintlock. It might be nice to shoot informally with a couple of other like minded muzzleloader shooters (I enjoyed our one outing to your range) but generally prefer to shoot alone. Again, mostly because in many years of running a range, working on others, and shooting at several more,,,,, I've seen too much stupid and find it hard to concentrate on what I'm doing when there are others on the range that I don't know.

It would be nice if we could find someone who would let a few guys with traditional muzzleloaders shoot on their property. Just a few guys, some targets and backers,,, relaxed.

I need a strong #11 nipple wrench for a hawken. The one I got recently from Amazon, (I think) is too shallow and I had to modify it a tad. Is there a solid wrench out there that will hold up? Thanks...

When I had my caplock I had just bought a small crescent wrench of the correct size and cut the opposite end off, ground the cut end round, to make it more packable.

Are you near Monroe? There is a good shop there that had a bin of the old school ones that looked fairly hefty
