Well said RB.

Why complicate life and invent things that will fall off and go wrong at the worst possible opprotunity?

You guys are messing around with a solution for a nonexistant problem!

You could be practicing your sight picture and dry firing with the time you are wasting on tricks and gizmos.

Then mabe your shooting would improve and you would actually be able to tell if you had nicked your balls.

:hmm:

Like several had said; the slight deformation doesn't seem to affect accuracy. I think the key is to load the same each time. If you sight in your gun useing a square ball and load the same way each time...it should hit in the same spot. Of course "square" is an exageration, but if a ball is "deformed" the same each shot and you sight it in that way, it shouldn't make an impact differance shot to shot no matter if the ball maintains it's round shape or is slightly flattened at the top. Is this logical or am I over simplifying? :hmm:

I agree with the above, Your accuracy is dependent on your accuracy ( consistancy with the way you load and aim) powder measure accuracy, patch consistant, loading the projectile, whether ball or some type of bullet. Tighten your group from the bench, then move to offhand. Practice, practice, practice. That includes dry fire, then moving up to just a cap, or pan full of powder, to work out flinch if you have any. Just :m2c:worth. Practice will bring success
