Jeff Tanner makes custom brass ball for round ball for about $40. He is in England and requires payment with Paypal. The last one I ordered from him arrived about 7 days after I placed my order. The molds are brass, fit in a standard Lyman set of handles. They don't have a sprue cutter but I haven't found that to be a problem.

For my Pedersoli Safari double rifles, I had Tom at Accurate Molds make a bullet mold that drops 775-grains @ 30:1. Mold drops bullets with three driving bands, each a different O.D. Pan lubed with SPG and using CCI #11 Magnum caps to ignite 110-grains Goex FFg, a right-left (I always shoot in this sequence) at 50 yards unsupported from a bench prints a cloverleaf. At 85 yards, group opens to about three inches.

Tom's mold is the best finished, most nearly precise (to its order specifications) of any built-to-order mold I've experienced. Delivered cost was about $125.00 for single-cavity iron mold.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the info guys, i think i will order one of those custom brass round ball molds from Jeff.

the hunt continues for a .694 minie ball mold.
