Have opportunity to pick up a blunderbuss, cal 69, marked CVA on barrel, looks to be brass barrel but is probably bronze(?). Any one have any info on this piece? Price is 2C notes.

Well...that sounds Very interesting....I went thru my old muzzleloading catalogues from the 70's
and cant find any Blunderbusses made OR Imported ny CVA. did find one bu Navy arms..70 cal Brass barrel price range ( in the 70's) $37.95 to $135...also one from Dixie gunworks with a steel
.95 cal barrel for $135.....
2 C notes is a steal! I would pick it up A.S.A.P. if it is a legimate CVA. Are ya sure the flare on the barrel was not brazed on by BUBBA?

ALSO...the current prices on repro Blunderbusses
are $400+ ...I have a brassie and its a Blast!
Nothing like a Blunderbuss....even though many Hate em.... :hatsoff:

I did a google search and found a couple of forums where members had mentioned a .69 CVA Blunderbuss among the guns they own, but no other details about it were mentioned.

That's a pretty good price these days, I'd take it. Blunderbeast are a hoot. Used to police up a few handfulls of .22 brass at the range and blast old 10-W30 cans! Also thoroughly destroys fire ant mounds with shot or .375" balls!! Ain't I a little devil??!!

Patriot....if you arent gonna buy it...
please Send me a PM of the shops phone number and I will make arrangements for them to send it to My cabin....

I have had 4 of them, the bell at the muzzle is a add on.
Fun little guns.
