.45 caliber, coat pistol sized composite piece from a few different '70s era Spanish made pistols. Photographic history of my reworking is here on the forum in the handgun section. Just got to a stopping point on it last week, but I've got other plans that I could use funds for.
This stock was a rescue piece that had a rough percussion barrel on it. Only the trigger is original to this stock. Has a slight chip behind the tang and sundry other character marks. There is a crack on the right side of the forestock going back to the lock mortise which has been repaired with superglue and further strengthened by the antler inlays that were glued in. The inlays also cover where I had to fill in an oversized hole drilled by a previous owner of the stock with a piece of hardwood dowel. The barrel is pinned through the dowel and antler pieces. The underlug is visible from the ramrod channel.
Added the lock mortise beavertails and trimmed down the grip to create a bit of a pommel at the butt. Stock was stained with a light vinegaroon followed by boiled linseed oil and I did the faux striping with India ink. Finished with another coat of boiled linseed oil. Could use a little more tinkering and adjustments, but it is functional. Sparks well, as shown in video. Barrel was NOS bought off a popular electronic auction website, and I have not fired it. I drilled the hole for the front sight, but not all the way to the bore. The bore is clean and rifling is sharp.
$195 shipped CONUS, only selling to where BP handguns don't require ffl. Pm if interested. Thanks for looking!
