I just picked up a CVA 12 gauge double, brand new, unfired at a gun show. I paid 280.00 out the door. It has polished steel triggers, trigger guard, locks, hammers and breech. The only thing blued are the barrels. The trigger guard is engraved, the hammers and breech are engraved, the locks are engraved with flowers and a flying duck. The wood is checkered, It has no buttplate but the butt is checkered. This is definatatly not a kit gun, Did I do good? and does anyone have any load info? The barrels are cyl. bored. Thanks, Stu

Stubert, I think you did fine  Sold mine to a blackpowder gunshop for more than that (around $300) when I bought the Pedersoli 10 ga. The CVA was fine, and I got my first blackpowder turkey with it. Enjoy!

The question is:" are you happy with it?" What we think is of no matter, it was your money! I would be happy. :idunno:

After you've bought something is a poor time to ask if it's a good deal. :haha:

I can tell you how to get your money back plus $20 right now! Then we'd both be happy! :rotf:

You done real good, and I bet you'll enjoy it a lot.

I needed to make an immeadiate decision, I was taking a gamble, and I didn't have the oportunity to research it before the purchase. I wasn't looking for an atta-boy.

You did real good on that buy.
They are hard to find now a days.
Seen them go for a lot more.
I had one a long time ago. Gave it to my wife's cousin. Wish he would give it back to me. LOL

What I meant was "once you've spent the money, don't ask". I've sometimes been happy with a purchase but found out later that I'd paid too much, then I wasn't so happy.

I picked one up last winter. Same gun $400 and not a bit sorry. I love shooting it and haven't been able to do that enough. The last muzzleloader shotgun I had I traded off 40 years ago and really was missing it.
