This rifle has a browned 15/16th barrel that IS NOT marked Made in Spain. It has CVA, .54 cal and a number on it. The stock has been intentionally “weathered” to appear old. The lock is perfect and the nipple is from this year. It has a wind age and elevation adjustable rear sight and a bead on post style front. Brass patch box and Burt plate, trigger guard and nose cap. Right now the ramrod is an inch longer than the barrel when seated but I’ll cut it if you want. It’s Right handed. Sighted in at 100-yards with 80 grains FFFg, .530 ball and .018 pillow tick. I have gotten groups of 5 shots under 2” at 100-yards off bench when I do my part. Set triggers make it nice and light when wanted. Very good overall and good bore, but I don’t have a light for a picture. More photos to come. I am trading up to a fancier rifle that might also comply with NMLRA rules (fixed rear sight for one thing). Asking $480

Upon further inspection, it does say "Spain" on the barrel (just not "Made in"). The lock fit is perfect. There is really nice figure in the stock. Target is a 10-shot group shot off sticks at 75-yards with aforementioned load. Make offer.

This is one of my most accurate rifles with PRB. Easy shooter as it is not too picky about load. It will group tightly with 777 or Goex, doesn't seem to care. Slight preference for .530 balls but is about equal with patches from .015-.020 depending on lube (pasty-waxy or "dry" or "wet"). I'm just not going to use it because I purchased several other rifles this year that I am going to sight-in and hunt with for a while.

**Additionally, I did not mention previously that the barrel and tang area of the stock are glass bedded, so the weather does not affect point-of-impact and it returns to zero after disassembly and reassembly.

The picture of the barrel is marked SPAIN and your description says it is not Made in Spain. Is the way the barrel is stamped an indicator of the barrel being compromised in someway?

I am just learning and can't find definition of PRB

Probably

Perfect Round Ball

I did a search and it just comes up PRB

Percussion Round Ball !

This is puzzling.

It is a very good looking MLR though.

Been years since I hopped on here. I lucked into a LeMat revolver then. Do you still have this Hawken? Thanks!
