For the record, the 1980 Dixie Gunworks Catalog lists the price of these original CVA MOUNTAIN RIFLES which were "...made of American[url] maple...in[/url] the USA..." was selling for $185.00.
In this same catalog, the Thompson Center Hawken was selling for $195.00 and the T/C Seneca was $205.00. The Lyman GPR was $175.
As the same catalog lists other CVA guns like the Kentucky Precussion Rifle at $112.95, the Kentucky Flintlock at $119.95 and the Kentucky Pistol at $72.95 one can easily see that the Mountain Rifle was not to be confused with the inexpensive guns CVA made. :hmm:
