A good looking CVA in 45 caliber. Was told these are called mountain rifles. Has two wedges. Adjustable iron rear sight. Hammer and triggers work good. The one thing I don't like is the half cock. Can't get a cap in there unless you pull the hammer back more or go into full cock.
I got this a couple weeks ago along with a pistol. So I had to buy both in the deal. I haven't shot it and the bore is shiny with good rifling. Doesn't have anything on twist so I have no idea.
I like the looks and the hefty feel. But I'm never going to shoot it.
Don't know the value but I'm gonna start at $300 . From what I've garnered looking for info on it.
If I'm asking too much, by all means let me know.
Willing to trade towards a Dragoon, 2nd or 3rd model. Or a Baby Dragoon aka 1849 Colt 31 caliber.

What happened to the inletting around the lock? Is that an original CVA lock or a (badly done) replacement lock? That problem will probably lower the value IMO.
