German silver can be heat blued just like steel. I don't know what the melting point for German silver is so be careful. I heat blued a german sivler piece and it came out looking very nice and dark. When you are heating it keep your torch moving and watch the color carefully. Just as soon as it turns a dark blue color, quench it in oil.

Can it be cold blued as well?
