I thought ibwould go ahead and post this.
I have a thing for .410s and SxS muzzloaders. I a few years back I saw where a CVA SxS .410 sold on a website.
I didn't know they made one. I wanted every since. I missed a couple, they sold quick. Finally got me one. I love the little thing.
This was the first time shooting it, and the chance at shooting a squirrel. It was a little over 20 yards away on the ground rustling through the leaves. She sat up and gave me a perfect shot.

Sure was fun. I see more fun coming.

GOOD job on the squirrel, i bet it is fun to shoot.

I have a new old stock set of barrels and a tang to build one and just don't seem to take time to start the build but someday I will
I remember you and had a conversation about barrels and the tang.
I have a set of barrels also.
Now that I have a complete gun I'll probably build one myself one day.

Very Nice double. So very cool. My friend has one that I'm doing my very best to get. I think its a Dixie gun works 410 percussion double. So very light and handy. Nice work on the squirrel too. Looks like a FINE pot of Dumplings to me.

Thanks.

I hope you get it. Work on him😉
I'll probably fry em up this time.

I will do some dumplings though.
I've read about them many times on the fourm. Sounds good.

Throw it in your crock pot with some beef stock and seasoned how ever you like. let it cook till it falls off the bone, remove bones, drop dumplings. Delicious. Better than yard buzzard and dumpling I tell ya that. As far as the little double. He's like "Trade me something" I told him I want to trade him paper money. LOL he is a gun trader loves trading more than selling.

I posted a thread on it back in July. Here's the link ifn you wanna see it. Not trying to hijack your thread.

That's a nice looking gun. Ya got get it.
When I first head about a SxS .410 muzzloader I thought BS they never made such a thing. Boy was I proven wrong, and I'm glad I was.
I'm going to send you a PM after I get doing doing a few things. I have an idea.

Later GSM
