My 1860 Army is a armi san marco Sp?. It is good quality overall just not polished as well as others. Shoots good though! Geo. T.

My 3rd Model Dragoon has a deep CVA stamp on the right side of the frame and on the barrel under the loading lever it is stamped "ASM" which I believe stands for Armi San Marco, Italy.

so if you buy a cva or traditions and its marked pietta you get the same quality if you bought a pietta original?

If it says Pietta, it's a Pietta. That said, I have read comments from others that Pietta at one time had some quality control issues that have largely been eliminated today. I own a Pietta 1858 Remington Army replica from Cabelas and am very happy with it. If it is a CVA Pietta, then it is a few years old as they have have not marketed these guns for a while.
