But not with your spring and plunger that decreases tension in the stroke rise proving there is no need for tension increase because there is no braking action from the hand !Yes, the tension is great enough to make the hand do BOTH its jobs.
For the hands with MOUNTED flat or coils, the spring element moves WITH the hand in an ever increasing compression during the cycle. The pictures in post #60 show this clearly.
