Welcome from Western Pennsylvania. I, like you, got bit by this blackpowder bug when I was almost 60 years old. Now I sure wished I took it up earlier. I could see a lot better then. After shooting BP now for over 10 years, flintlocks are the only guns I hunt with for all game. I still shoot and hunt with my longbows though. Longbows and flintlocks kind of go hand in hand. Have fun.
