Logan was cleaning his rifle with a modern rod,,,was metal, could hear it clanging while in the barrel, had a plastic T handle on it with a tightening nut to hold rod on handle... :shocked2: :shocked2: :shocked2:

I don't want to start pick poor ol' dan'l apart but I had to laugh when I saw Daniel come stalking along the same road that Andy and Opey strolled along. . . even the same old log looked to be there!
I had to look, so I imdb'ed the show to find filming locations; here's what I found:
Big Bear Lake, Big Bear Valley, San Bernardino National Forest, California, USA

Golden Oak Ranch - 19802 Placerita Canyon Road, Newhall, California, USA

Iverson Ranch, Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California, USA

Kanab Movie Ranch, Kanab, Utah, USA

Kanab, Utah, USA
interestingly, franklin resevoire (the famous Mayberry openiung scene) was not listed :hmm:

If I got it right next month you should be able to get the whole series on tape or CD. I think it's about 50 hours of show. That's a lot of Boone but then my Hooker Boone rifle is rifled and shoots well.
Fox

Not to change the subject, but can you post a pic of the Hooker Boone rifle? I have long thought the original Hooker's Boone rifle was real nice...maybe even coulda been Boone's in his advanced years...the only pics I have seen are in Hooker's little autobio...Born Out of Season.

Well I dont have any older photos of Fess but I do have these taken at the Alamo Society meeting there when he donated one of his his flintlock rifles to the Alamo in San Antonio in 2004!

Its funny I just posted this on another site and thought it was appropriate here as well! As I also said there it was like a bunch of 50plus year old boys that day! Me included! Hope you enjoy them! :hatsoff:
